A few years ago I was a diagnosed sick person. I was on five medications for illnesses, I was told, I would never recover from. After taking prescribed drugs for many years, suffering debilitating side effects and not feeling any better, something in me finally said, ENOUGH. I realized that I was the only one that could fix my health and I’ve spent the last two years educating myself and practicing a totally new way of life. My hard work has paid off dearly and I am recovering from the diseases that compromised my quality of life for so many years.
As I made my way through the wilderness of the health system, I realized there was something terribly wrong. I realized that drug companies were not always interested in meaningful healing, that the mainstream advice from authoritative organizations is not always accurate and that the medical treatments that some of us endure might actually be making us more sick. I was impelled to dig a little deeper and learn different opinions. I woke up to the fact that most politically charged topics are driven by mis-information. That industry will use any tactic necessary to generate profits and yes that means they will risk the health and safety of all life on earth for the sake of money.
I believe that taking control of our health, choosing what we ingest, what we put on our skin, what we tolerate in our environment is much more than a consumer choice. It is a political action and is the foundation of activism. Even the smallest action can have a sweeping consequence. Every choice we make matters!
Taking my health into my own hands has freed me from severe Clinical Depression, Anxiety Disorder, ADD, OCD, Fibromyalgia, Eczema, Acne Rosacea, Acid Reflux, High Cholesterol and medication induced damage. Not to mention the years of mental anguish. For decades, I lived on the perimeter of life. I have changed the direction I was going and I continue to change in ways I never thought possible.
This website is about what I’ve learned and what I’m still learning everyday. I hope that my experience will resonate with you and that maybe we can help each other get through the complicated and sometimes very confusing state of the world we currently live.
